Department Overview:

Natural Contract Manufacturing (NCM) is a Wisconsin-based manufacturer specializing in natural personal care products. We partner with entrepreneurs and growing brands to formulate, develop, and manufacture products including natural deodorants, skincare products, facial serums, body oils, sprays, and other personal care items. Our team combines hands-on business ownership experience with technical expertise to help brands successfully bring products to market.

Position Overview

Are you interested in entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, consumer products, or building a business from the ground up?

NCM is seeking an ambitious UW-Madison student to work directly with two successful business owners and business development professionals. This internship provides hands-on experience in sales, relationship building, business operations, and growth strategy within the rapidly growing natural personal care industry.

Unlike many internships that focus primarily on observation, this role offers real-world responsibility, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to business growth while developing valuable professional skills.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective business customers throughout the Madison area
  • Develop relationships with retailers, wellness businesses, and prospective brand owners
  • Follow up on qualified sales leads provided by the company
  • Present NCM's manufacturing and product development services
  • Track opportunities and customer interactions
  • Represent the company professionally in the community

Compensation

This role offers:

  • 5% commission on all sales generated

All sales training, marketing materials, and qualified lead opportunities are provided by the company.

Most interns working 10-15 hours per week can reasonably expect to earn $500-$2,500+ per month depending on hours in the field and performance.
