Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for a Mother’s helper/household helper to assist us with organization and housework on weekday afternoons. This would include helping tidy up after the morning rush and emptying and loading the dishwasher. Picking up toys and possibly putting away the kids' clothes. On some days it could include more organizational tasks like tidying up the pantry or helping prep some cut-up fruit or veggies for lunches/ diner.

We are a family of four with a 4-year-old and a 19-month-old and a small, friendly fluffy dog. My husband and I both have remote jobs from home; the kids are (usually) at daycare. However, it would be great if this candidate loved kids/ had childcare experience and could help with some childcare if the kids are home from school.

The ideal candidate would be someone caring, who likes organizing, reliable, and can lend either parent a helping hand with the kids and around the house.

Our home is centrally located in the Dudgeon Monroe neighborhood right off Monroe St, with easy access to the Route D bus line and the bike path. But having a car might be helpful in the winter.

Main responsibilities would include:

Light housework: for example, loading/unloading dishwasher, tidying up, folding laundry, puttingtt away groceries, prepping things for lunches/dinner. Occasionally taking the dog for a walk.

Ability to help watch/entain the kids when needed

Timing and remuneration:

- 4-5 days/week - some flexibility on days

- 2 hours per day, ideally 2-5, but we can be flexible here anytime between 9-5

- Rate: $20- $25 / hour

Qualifications:

- UW student, ideally pursuing studies in an education, childhood development, or healthcare related field

- Previous experience providing child care (nannying, babysitting, teaching) and comfortable with toddlers/infants

- CPR/First Aid training a plus

- Drivers license a plus
