El Mundo de Niños is a State Licensed, Madison Accredited, private, family-run, Spanish immersion preschool on the near west side of Madison, WI. Our bilingual preschool has the following goals: to love and respect children; to create an environment of Spanish Immersion; to give the freedom to learn and grow through play; to offer a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment; to create a community of bilingual families.

Kate Woodford, lead teacher and founder, has over 20 years experince working in biligual early childhood education settings.  She has worked in bilingual schools in Lima, Peru and Madison, WI and she holds a masters degree in Bilingual Education. She opened El Mundo de Niños in 2014 to meet the needs of her own family, seeking a rich bilingual early childhood educational option.  

Walquer Rojas, lead teacher, has over 25 years of experience working in edcuational settings with children ages 1-18. He has worked as a social worker in Lima, Peru and a special education assistant in Madison public schools.  Walquer joined El Mundo de Niños in 2020 and this year we are seeking a third teacher as support with the children and for business sustainability.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (5 days/15–25 hours per week)

Compensation: $20/hr–$25/hr**

Maestrx Asistente Bilingüe: (Inglés/Español) 

Se solicita maestrx (18+) para tiempo parcial que hable Español.  Buscamos maestrx asistente para mi programa licenciada de cuidado infantil en casa, para el año escolar (Sept ’26-junio ’27).  Busco a alguien con mucha motivación y entusiasmo por trabajar y cuidar a niños pequeños.  Se habla sólo español durante el día con el grupo de 8 niños/toddlers de 1-5 años.  

Se busca alguien que es proponente del bilingüismo temprano, tiene mucha paciencia, flexibilidad, trabaja bien en grupo y tiene ganas de aprender acerca de nuestra filosofía de enseñanza, Anji Play (www.anjiplay.com).  

El programa está ubicado en nuestra casa, mi esposo y yo somos los maestros principales y por lo tanto el ambiente es muy íntimo, relajado y alegre, y como parte de él, será Ud. como una extensión de nuestra familia.  

Que tenga experiencia trabajando en educación inicial o cuidado de niños de una temprana edad y esté familiarizada con las reglas estatales de Wisconsin del cuidado de niños, sería una ventaja.  Estamos dispuestos a entrenar a la persona correcta.  Es importante que sea puntual y confiable y que pueda levantar 30-50lbs.  

Sus deberes como asistente consisten en:

• Preparar comida
• Limpieza general
• La supervisión de los niños
• Cambiar pañales y ayudar en el baño
• Apoyar a la hora de las comidas y la siesta
• Salir de paseos y jugar afuera durante todo el año
• Asistencia de administración utilizando una App y la computadora
• Reflexionar sobre el aprendizaje de los niños

Bilingual Teaching Assistant: (English/Spanish) 

Seeking a bilingual teacher (18+) for a part-time position as an assistant teacher for my licensed home-based childcare program for the school year (Sept ’26 – June ’27). I am looking for someone highly motivated and enthusiastic about working with and caring for young children. Spanish is the only language spoken during the day with the group of 8 children/toddlers (ages 1–5).

We are looking for someone who advocates for early bilingualism and possesses great patience, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a group and learn about our teaching philosophy, Anji Play (www.anjiplay.com).

The program is located in my home; my husband and I are the lead teachers, creating a very intimate, relaxed, and joyful environment where you will become an extension of our family.

Experience in early childhood education settings or child care and familiarity with Wisconsin state childcare regulations would be an advantage, though we are willing to train the right person. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as is the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Your duties as an assistant include:

• Preparing meals
• General cleaning
• Supervising children
• Changing diapers and assisting with toileting
• Supporting children during mealtime and naptime
• Going for walks and playing outdoors year-round
• Administrative assistance using an app and a computer
• Reflecting on the children's learning

Que tenga experiencia trabajando en educación inicial o cuidado de niños de una temprana edad y esté familiarizada con las reglas estatales de Wisconsin del cuidado de niños, sería una ventaja.  Estamos dispuestos a entrenar a la persona correcta.  Es importante que sea puntual y confiable y que pueda levantar 30-50lbs.  

Al contratar, se necesitará entregar:

• Sus huellas digitales como parte de la revisión de antecedentes penales
• Completar 3 entrenamientos virtuales, de 3 horas en total (en español o inglés).

Cursos requeridos dentro de 6 meses de iniciar el trabajo: 

• Registry Certificate
• CPR/AED Certification
• Intro to the Early Childcare profession*
• Infant & Toddler Care Class*

Upon hiring, you will need to:

• Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check
• Complete 3 virtual training sessions, totaling 3 hours (in Spanish or English). 

Courses required within 6 months of starting the job:

• CPR/AED Certification
• Intro to the Early Childcare Profession*
• Infant & Toddler Care Class*

**Pay determined by experience, skills, and education level

* Receive a pay raise upon completion of these courses.
