Miggy’s Bakes is a custom bakery located in Middleton, Wisconsin, specializing in custom cakes, cookies, dessert bars, cookie cups, and other sweet treats. Our owner started the bakery in 2019 out of her college apartment while studying economics at UW-Madison! We serve both individual customers and larger events, including weddings, corporate events, celebrations, and wholesale partners.

We are a growing, creative small business with a close knit team and a fast paced environment. Our goal is to create delicious products while providing an exceptional customer experience. We’re looking for enthusiastic team members who enjoy working with people, learning new skills, and being part of a fun and hardworking team.

We are happy to work with UW-Madison students and their class schedules. Weekday, evening, and weekend shifts are available.

Typical baking shifts are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with shifts of 4+ hours. We offer some flexibility depending on business needs and your availability.

Shifts are available Monday - Saturday, with occasional Sunday shifts for special events or busy periods.

• Preparing and baking cookies, dessert bars, cakes, and other bakery products according to established recipes and standards
• Following recipes and production instructions consistently
• Decorating and finishing baked goods as needed
• Preparing products for customer orders, events, and wholesale partners
• Washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspaces
• Working efficiently to meet daily production deadlines
• Assisting with other bakery tasks as needed

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products
• Able to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately
• Comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Able to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines
• Willing to learn new recipes, techniques, and bakery processes
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Comfortable receiving feedback and taking direction
• Previous baking, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is a plus, but not required
• Previous experience with cake decorating of any kind, piping, or other baking/decorating techniques is a plus
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and regularly lifting up to approximately 25 to 50 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our Middleton bakery - we are on a bus line!
