Flexibility is welcome — you don't need to cover every slot:

• Monday & Thursday: 8:30–11:30 AM
• Tuesday: 9:15 AM–12:15 PM
• Wednesday: 3:30–6:00 PM
• Occasional Thursday evenings: 6:30–9:00 PM

I'm looking for a warm, patient, and dependable companion to spend time with my husband, an emeritus music professor, for about 12 hours a week while I'm away from home. He's an active, healthy, and happy 81-year-old with mild-to-moderate memory loss — this role is about companionship and conversation, not caregiving in a medical sense. The ideal candidate enjoys conversation, is patient and personable, and can provide a friendly presence and stimulating social interaction.  Activities can include listening to music, reading together, taking walks, watching movies.

• Comfortable interacting with older adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have your own car (we're about 20-25 minutes from campus).

The ideal candidate enjoys conversation, is patient and personable, and can provide a friendly presence and stimulating social interaction.  This position is especially well-suited for students in music, psychology, education, social work, communication arts, gerontology, or related fields who are looking for meaningful, flexible part-time work.
