Schedule:

Schedule is variable depending on performance schedule.  Hours would be variable, but exclusively evenings & weekends.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$15.00/hour

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, and a good rapport with facility users. Looking for someone who can train and start in August 2021, and continue for the 21-22 academic year as well. Graduate student and previous experience with performing arts events preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Coordinate ushers to ensure all tasks are done and HMC is ready for an audience.

• Help to welcome and direct audience members

• Manage any issues that come up

• Stay on through post-concert duties, especially when there are receptions.

• Ensure HMC is clean and ready for an audience.

• Prepare theater for the show’s audience such as reserving seats, working out logistics of seating for large school groups, etc.

• Welcome the audience and act as the “face” of the HMC

• Work with Box Office staff to resolve any ticketing problems

• Address patrons’ concerns, issues, and questions

• Ensure health and safety policies are in place; responsible for leading emergency procedures and protocols.

• Coordinate the start of each show through clear communication with the Stage Manager

• Oversee any pre- or post-concert activities such as receptions, Q&A, or meet-and-greets with

   artists

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and move furnishings and equipment.
