The Cellular and Molecular Arrhythmia Research Program is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to support the program by performing entry-level animal colony maintenance

Applicant must be enrolled at the UW.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
A successful assistant will have a strong science and lab background and experience with animal handling and/or genotyping and PCR.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The lab assistant will perform mouse colony maintenance. Duties will include the separation and identification of new animals, DNA isolation, genotyping, animal transfer coordination and maintenance of excess colony animals. This position plays a key role in supporting our laboratory research, and duties will be performed under the direction of an experienced member of the lab. Many of the duties are time sensitive so organization and time management are key to the success of the position.
