Participants must be over the age of 18
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
You will be asked to perform multiple lifts at your comfort pace. No special skills are required.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
1. Provide basic demographic information at the beginning of the session. 2. Perform standing, two-hand lifts of loads below your maximum voluntary force at various heights relative to your stature 3. Lift a set of weights ranging from 5% to 40% of your maximum strength, filled with lead shots in a box 4. Randomly selected loads, original height and destination height for each lift will be assigned by the experimenter. 5. Lift the object from a multi-tier shelf, and place it back on the shelf in an assigned destination. 6. Maintain a comfortable pace during lifting and take frequent rest periods as needed 7. Consent to have your session recorded for analysis purposes. 8. Each session will last no more than one hour in total.
Physical Demands:
1. Good physical health and free from any pre-existing injuries or conditions that could be aggravated by lifting activities. 2. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain focus during the experiment. 3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to adhering to the experimental protocols. 4. Willingness to contribute actively to the research study and adhere to ethical guidelines
