Position Summary/Job Duties:

During Camper Arrival Time:
- As campers arrive for the start of camp, you will ensure a warm, inviting environment. This includes saying hello and welcoming them in (especially on the first day when they are shy), showing them the games and crafts available, and playing board games with them while we wait for the camp to start.

During STEM Camps:
- Each themed camp starts includes a STEM lesson and activities a day with corresponding instructional lessons. You will be responsible for listening to the activity instructions carefully then helping campers with the activities.
- You must be proactive and jump in to help where you see it needed. This requires walking around and talking to the campers to make sure they are doing ok and noticing when certain campers need extra help with the activities and/or feeling comfortable.
- Snack Time: You will set up snacks halfway through camp each day and hang out with the kids during a 30 minute snack time, encouraging conversation and friendships.

Daily Setup and Shutdown:
- You will prepare the room each day for the camp’s activities by setting up materials as directed by the Assistant Manager.
- You will thoroughly clean at the end of each day: vacuum, mop, sanitize all surfaces, and take trash out to the dumpster.

Flexibility:
- This is a job at a small startup, so there will likely be other needs that come up throughout the summer. You will be joining a small, passionate team whose primary focus is to make the most memorable summer experience for every kid who attends. It is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a growing business, but it also means you must be ok with tackling the unexpected!

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of some physical labor such as cleaning floors, taking trash out to the dumpster, and sitting on the floor with kids during activities.
