$16.00 per hour

Qualifications:

-Understand and abide by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
-Must be Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant before starting.
-Obtain American Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid within 30 days of employment.
-Ability to work throughout all hours of facility operations including mornings, nights and weekends.
-Ability to balance academic and job responsibilities.
-Attend all trainings and meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-Commitment to upholding the mission, vision and values of University Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) on and off-shift.
-Provide excellent member service and promote a positive work environment.
-Maintain a working knowledge of all Rec Well programs and facilities.
-Promote and maintain cleanliness and appearance within and surrounding Rec Well facilities.
-Ability to identify and solve problems.
-Demonstrate exceptional oral, written and administrative skills.
-Responsible for all information in emails, updates, and trainings.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

-Assist members with professional etiquette on the phone, online chat or in person about aspects of the facilities, programs and services.
-Operate point of sale to complete financial transactions for the selling of memberships, programs and merchandise.
-Administer equipment checkout, towel distribution, laundering processes, and court reservations.
-Coordinate racquet stringing and repair services, reporting issues or low inventory. Racquet stringers can earn an additional $10 per racquet strung while on shift.
-Manage court reservations for tennis and squash, including but not limited to reserving and assigning tennis and squash courts to patrons, athletic teams, Intramural Sports, and special event users.
-Assist with league creation, scheduling, and tracking.
-Assist with lesson scheduling and management.
-Assist with instructor and lesson participant communications.
-Manage inventory and maintain all equipment and merchandise to ensure quality, safety and security.
-Launder, fold and distribute towels.
-Manage lost and found by logging, securing and returning lost and found items.
-Assist in training new student employees in the use of Fusion, court reservations, facility operations and other essential job tasks.
-When necessary, open or close Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
-Understand and execute facility emergency procedures.
-Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to assist in an emergency situation.
