Qualifications:

Applicants must be currently enrolled graduate students in good academic standing. We seek individuals who are dedicated, motivated, and eager to contribute.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong command of multiple programming languages. Desired languages are Stata, R, or Python, and candidate should be adept at utilizing these tools for data analysis. Additional preference given to candidates with experience using geographic information system software. Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in Latex are essential for this role. The candidate should demonstrate a keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate findings. Additionally, a solid foundation in statistical methods will be highly valued.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Looking for a Graduate Student Research Assistant for an 11-month position to work with Professor Kagy, which includes salary and full tuition coverage. Research project will explore the long-term and intergenerational effects of lead exposure on economic outcomes. Research tasks will include analysis of large datasets. Looking for a graduate student with a strong command of several programming languages and experience in data analysis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to research at the intersection of environmental health and economics while gaining valuable hands-on experience in quantitative analysis and research methodologies.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary work. Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing.
