Qualifications:

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a computer programming position; it is an office/administrative position. Graduate students from any and all departments at UW-Madison are encouraged to apply, provided they have the necessary experience and skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Graduate student with prior office experience, proficiency in using Excel financial spreadsheets, problem-solving ability, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Manage fiscal activities for several federal grants, monitor spending, process requisitions and reimbursements, and produce budget projections.
- Provide administrative services to professors, graduate students, and staff; assist with travel arrangements, conference and workshop organization, and general office duties.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary work. Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
