Department Overview:

The Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives provides groundbreaking cultural programming for the UW-Madison and broader communities.

Qualifications:

Candidates should demonstrate evidence of creativity and excellence in multimedia creation. In addition, a successful candidate will demonstrate experience within photography, videography/editing and graphic design.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Candidates should have a willingness to learn new processes and systems, actively ask questions, and seek out resources. Candidates should have ability to work well as a part of a team while making decisions independently. All candidates should have a reliable attendance.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Document live events through videography, photography, and audio production;
- Attend OMAI staff meetings and represent media interests, concerns, and ideas;
- Attend professional developments that will foster skills in related to job related skills, community leadership, organizing, and arts administration;
- Work directly with the OMAI Creative Manager to develop content and general support in managing various OMAI/FW social media channels;
- Work directly with other OMAI Digital Media interns to develop the First Wave Coloring Book and the OMAI Yearbook.
