Department Overview:

The College of Engineering's Undergraduate Learning Center offers a variety of academic support programs for engineering students. Our main tutoring program is drop-in tutoring, which supports core science, math, and engineering courses.

Schedule:

At least 1 shift is required between Sunday and Thursday, 6:15PM-9:15PM for drop-in tutoring. At least 2 available hours for 1-on-1 tutoring. Additional shifts may be requested depending on demand.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Current undergraduate student at UW-Madison with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, completion of one semester at UW-Madison required (by the start date).
Minimum grade of “B” in courses you tutor


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous tutoring experience
Ability to tutor multiple courses
Commitment for multiple semesters

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with diverse student groups.
Willingness to learn and work as a part of a team.

Tutors work in both drop-in and 1-on-1 tutoring programs. Additional orientation, training, and paid development opportunities exist. Protentional courses you may consider tutoring include:
