Department Overview:

The Center for Research on College-Workforce Transitions (CCWT) conducts research and develops evidence-based tools, resources, and programs to promote the career wellness and development of students, with emphasis on those who have been historically marginalized in higher education and the labor market. The CCWT Project Assistant is an opportunity to collaborate with and learn from all of our researchers while building valuable skills. This PA will provide cross-project support and assist with efforts to bridge resources in developing unified and innovative programming.

Qualifications:

Current enrollment in University of Wisconsin graduate program

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong quantitative and qualitative research background
• Familiarity/experience with quantitative & mixed-methods research, including data analysis skills
• Experience managing data and identifying/resolving data errors and inconsistencies
• Experience reviewing and writing academic reports and papers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge about or interest in topics related to CCWT's mission (https://ccwt.wisc.edu/about/mission-and-history/)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Perform quantitative and qualitative data collection.
• Analyze and code data.
• Develop or assist in developing program resources and writing reports.
• Attend conferences and meetings.
• Present findings to peers and colleagues at meetings and conferences.
• Assist in coordinating and facilitating project meetings.

Physical Demands:

Working at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
