Qualifications:
Applicants must be current UW-Madison undergraduate students with excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will have strong time management abilities and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. A service-oriented mindset and a desire to enhance the student services experience are essential for this role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Some experience using Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp, Canvas and Google Suite tools. Familiarity with marketing & communications or a willingness to learn!
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Assist in creating and distributing the department’s graduate program newsletter Support the planning and execution of graduate recruiting weekends, including event logistics and communication with prospective students Help manage the admissions process by organizing application materials and coordinating communication with applicants Provide administrative support, such as maintaining records, and responding to inquiries Collaborate with the student services team to enhance services for graduate students and faculty Perform other related tasks as needed to support the Graduate Office operations
Physical Demands:
Ability to work independently and assist with event set-up and clean-up periodically which may include putting together materials, lifting boxes and materials weighing up to 25 pounds, etc.
