Department Overview:

Department of Plant & Agroecosystem Sciences: Our department integrates plant sciences with agroecological approaches to create more resilient crops and landscapes in response to a changing climate and other global pressures placed on food-energy-water systems.

Schedule:

Preferred: To attend class Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00pm-2:15pm and office hours at 2:30pm on Tuesdays. Attending office hours is more important than attending every class.

Qualifications:

Required:
Graduate student who has taken 501 in 2020 or 2022 and obtained a grade of B or higher.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to respond to students and complete grading in a timely manner.

Preferred:
Grade of A or better in 501
Successful completion of other advanced courses in plant breeding, genetics and statistics.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Same as qualifications

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Draft assignments and exams in collaboration with instructors.
Develop answer keys and grading rubrics.
Post assignments to canvas.
Grade assignments and exams.
Attend office hours and monitor canvas site for assignment-related questions.
