PEOPLE Summer Program Residential Coordinator - 2026 summary: Residential Coordinators shall maintain a leadership role among peer staff and PEOPLE students in an active summer residential environment. The Residential Coordinators will support our residential programs for high school students. These students will experience college life and academics in a safe and supported environment, helping them to prepare for the college application process and college success. The Residential Coordinator oversees the day-to-day residential experience of these programs to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all participants and staff. They will take a lead role in resolving higher-level participant issues and ensure that all problems are promptly addressed. Reporting to the program leadership staff, this position supervises other residential staff and provides regular feedback about the residential staff and participants to full-time program leadership. This position conducts training for the residential staff before the start of the program and directly supervises them throughout its duration. This position works closely with other program staff to foster a campus environment of academic achievement and personal development and ensures the physical safety and comfort of all program participants.

Project Evaluation Student Hourly summary: This position will provide evaluation support for two grant-funded projects that seek to promote the health and well-being and sovereignty of Native Nations in Wisconsin. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) HOP grant involves the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, the Menominee County/Nation, Ashland County and the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa to advance community-based strategies in support of healthy eating and active living. The second project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and involves partners from UW-Madison, the Great Lakes Tribal Food Coalition, the Menominee Nation, the Ho Chunk Nation, and others in supporting Native farming practices, food distribution networks, and education and professional development for Native producers and nutrition professionals. The project evaluation student hourly will work closely with the lead evaluators and with other project partners to support evaluation activities.
