Strong Academic Background – Proficiency in core subjects like math, reading, and writing.
Excellent Communication Skills – Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to students' learning styles.
Patience and Empathy – Understanding the diverse needs of middle school students.
Dependability and Punctuality – Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled tutoring hours.
Positive Role Model – Professional behavior and attitude to inspire and motivate students.
Interest in Education or Youth Development – Preferably pursuing a field related to teaching, psychology, or youth services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge:
Understanding of middle school-level math, reading, and writing concepts.
Familiarity with effective study techniques and learning strategies.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Problem-solving skills for addressing individual student learning challenges.
Abilities:
Adapt teaching style to suit different learning needs.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with students and school staff.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Working 1-on-1 or in small group setting with Middle School students in areas of reading and math.
