50% appointment meeting with students for three 50-minute discussion sections per week, plus attending two instructor-led lectures 2:25pm-3:15pm Tuesdays & Thursdays

Qualifications:
The graduate TA should possess strong knowledge of folklore in the United States and around the world, emphasizing how individuals and groups address issues of identity, authenticity, and authority. The graduate TA should have completed at least one (1) graduate course in the Humanities. Previous teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Familiarity with the use of beliefs, songs, stories, dances, festivals, and artifacts in storytelling. Strong writing, teaching, and grading skills.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The TA's responsibilities may include: Attending lectures Holding office hours Weekly conference with professor Preparation of one lecture on agreed-upon topic related to course Preparation for section meetings Leading discussion section meetings Grading assignments for discussion sections Calculating attendance and participation
