Schedule:

 At least 10 hours per week, in 2-5 hour blocks during business hours. Flexible scheduling, but the student is expected to establish a regular schedule with the supervisor and maintain it. NOTICE: Please upload your tentative class schedule for spring.

Qualifications:

  One full semester of college-level coursework in the biological/chemical sciences is preferred, but entering freshmen will be considered. Ability to work independently after completion of training.  Experience in a laboratory environment (lab courses included) a plus, although not required. Strong preference given to candidates willing to make several years commitment to the lab.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Responsibilities include lab support tasks such as making solutions, stocking lab supplies, filling tip boxes, putting away clean glassware, etc. This is NOT an independent research project position; however, research participation opportunities may become available in the future to individuals who demonstrate both competence and commitment.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are offering a laboratory support position (student hourly) open to currently enrolled UW undergraduate students majoring in the biological/chemical sciences. Ongoing employment (academic year and optional summer).

Physical Demands:

Ability to carry 20 lb boxes.
