Department Overview:

Schedule:

Hours are flexible between 7:45am and 4:30pm on weekdays. Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during spring, summer and winter breaks.

Qualifications:

-Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student for the spring and fall 2025 semesters
-Must be able to begin work in January/February 2025 and be available to work during both the spring and summer 2025 semesters
-Strong computer and software knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ability to quickly learn new platforms

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent human relations skills with dedication to providing courteous, timely and sensitive customer service
-Strong organizational skills

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This position is an integral part of the office team, providing administrative support to the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

This position assists in daily office operations, including tracking and entering data, drafting and sending correspondence, organizing and archiving files, delivering documents, assisting with website maintenance, answering phones, and assisting visitors. This position also provides event and meeting support, including printing meeting materials and assisting with event logistics, with the opportunity to be a part of university-wide faculty events. In addition, this position will help to provide administrative support to office processes and duties. Overall, this position functions as part of an office team that provides assistance to faculty and stakeholders of the university.

Candidates must have the ability to work in and contribute to an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of a diversity of people, perspectives, and lived experiences.

Physical Demands:

The position primarily involves sedentary computer work. It is helpful, but not required, to have the ability to deliver documents across campus, occasionally lift/move office file boxes, and move tables and other items during event setup.
