Schedule:

Work schedule is determined by pool needs and facility hours. Most hours fall between 8am-5pm on weekdays although some weekend hours may be necessary.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$16.00 per hour

Qualifications:

Customer service skills and ability to interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations

Ability to lift and move heavy pool equipment including, but not limited to, starting platforms, diving boards, touchpads, stanchions, ADA pool lifts, lane line reels, tip and roll bleachers, and water polo goals

Ability to use independent judgment

Problem-solving and technical equipment troubleshooting skills

Willing to accommodate a variable work schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and University breaks

Basic knowledge of aquatics recreation and competitive aquatic events strongly desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

American Red Cross CPR/AED for Lifeguards (or Professional Rescuer) and First Aid required, can be acquired after hire

Completion of Rec Well onboarding, once hired

Interest in becoming a Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Equipment organization, maintenance, and repair

Follow equipment inspection and cleaning schedules

Assist with pool configuration changes

Event preparation and pool deck setup for recreational events, programs, and activities and for Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo competitions

Lifting and movement of heavy pool equipment including but not limited to lifeguard stands, starting platforms, diving boards, touchpads, stanchions, pool accessibility lifts, lane line reels, tip and roll bleachers, water polo goals, and bulkhead

Assist with setup and tear down of timing system for Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo competitions

Operation of Aquatic Event Management software programs, including but not limited to Colorado Gen 7 Swim and Dive and Daktronics Water Polo

Assist with emergency management as necessary

Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands:

ability to move up/down stairs
position occasionally requires lifting of equipment for maintenance and meet setup (up to 25lbs)
