Department Overview:
The DoIT Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) is a department within the Division of Information Technology that partners within DoIT and across the broader university community to develop practical solutions and processes that deliver value from ideation to operations. Our portfolio managers, business analysts, change managers, program managers, and project managers provide expert advice, ask thoughtful questions, and guide informed decisions to translate goals into impactful outcomes.

You may be a good fit for the Knowledge Management Coordinator if: -You enjoy and consider yourself skilled at creating and evaluating documentation -You communicate well and can easily develop relationships within the department -You are open to working almost exclusively remotely with your colleagues in the PPMO via Teams -You can work autonomously with high self-reliance

You may be a good fit for the Knowledge Management Coordinator if: - You enjoy learning about information technology projects and services - You consider yourself fairly organized and enjoy organizing your own files - You are curious about the domains of project, program, or portfolio management, business analysis or organizational change management
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The work of the Knowledge Management Coordinator will most likely consist of: - Surveying PPMO staff to understand our documentation needs - Reviewing records retention schedules and determine what applies to the artifacts we create from projects - Documenting how we’ll be archiving our files - - Which platforms are we will be using and why - - Standardize document naming conventions - - Where we archive documents and for how long - Determine which web pages we need and KB (knowledge base) articles we should create - - Delineate what should be in the KB vs. in a document vs. on our web pages - Purge documentation where it’s old and no longer relevant - Create documentation, KB articles, or web pages as needed

Frequent sitting and computer work.
