Department Overview:
The Office of the Registrar employs a team of 23 talented student employees each year to assist faculty, staff and students across campus. The Office of the Registrar is uniquely positioned to provide vital administration to our campus. We are the intersection between the Schools and Colleges and the teaching and learning mission, student services, and technology.

Schedule:
Virtual office hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday. We offer in person services 9am-4pm M-TH, and are available by appointment only on Friday’s.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
This position is well suited for those interested in a student services/administrative work environment and working with a variety of people. Students in this position assist with front desk reception and clerical duties for prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, staff and the general public. The most qualified applicants will be familiar with MyUW and the Student Center, reliable, detail-oriented, able to work independently and with others, and effective communicators. The desire and ability to learn quickly and the ability to adhere to confidentiality/privacy guidelines are essential. Previous experience working in customer service or with the public is preferred.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Responsibilities include customer service and administrative support for student record functions like transcript production, enrollment and degree verification, course enrollment, and diploma services. Duties may include but are not limited to: -Providing front desk reception and student services support (email, phone, in-person) -Using technology/tools such as the Student Information System (SIS) and the transcript ordering system to fulfill information requests -Maintaining a working knowledge of MyUW as it relates to student record information -Performing data entry in various systems/processes -Imaging/scanning documents and linking them to student records -Assisting other Office of the Registrar units with administrative tasks -Maintain confidentiality and compliance with FERPA laws regarding student records
