Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association works to cultivate relationships with alumni and students to support and strengthen the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. The organization strives to enhance the experience of School of Medicine and Public Health students by building a network of alumni who maintain their connection to the school, giving back time, money, knowledge and experience. The WMAA is made up of a four-person team who is passionate about our work, and like to have fun! We hope to add a creative, hardworking and reliable student to our team!

Qualifications:

• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with: Outlook, Microsoft Office, GoogleDocs, G-Suite
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Personable and welcoming attitude, flexibility with various assignments

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Position responsibilities require excellent administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills. The person in this position must present a positive attitude in all interactions and communicate effectively with alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public utilizing discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. This position requires the ability to multitask and exercise initiative and independent judgment. Successful candidate will have particular experience with Microsoft excel.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The student worker serves as an administrative support to the WMAA Team. Duties are clerical in nature, ranging from helping translate complex excel documents into donor thank-you notes/envelope labels, to assisting in stewardship activities, helping thank donors for contributions.
