"Have you ever been in the midst of a study session and wondered where you went so wrong? You studied for hours and it doesn’t seem to matter. Maybe you have been paired with another person and you can’t seem to change their mind. This course delves into the fascinating psychology behind how we learn and what drives us to achieve. Through topics like motivation, memory, cognition, and perception, you’ll explore how people process, interpret, and act on information. This class is not just about understanding yourself as a learner, it’s also about understanding others and applying that knowledge in practical, impactful ways. You will gain insights into the neurological underpinnings of learning, the science of goal-setting, and the techniques that support effective learning and growth.
This course also offers a window into the many career paths in psychology that involve learning and motivation. Discover how these concepts are applied in fields such as Educational Psychology, Counseling, Organizational Psychology, Human Resource, and Behavioral Research. Through hands-on activities, case studies, and class discussions, you’ll not only understand the science of learning but also how to apply it to help others succeed.
