Department Overview:
The Biology Core Curriculum is a 4-semester Honors Biology undergraduate sequence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Qualifications:
Interested candidates should have a broad training in Biology. Familiarity with genetics, ecology, and evolution is highly desirable for Biocore 381/382. Familiarity with anatomy and physiology for plants / animals is desirable for Biocore 485/486.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Lecture TA appointments are between 33.4% to 50%, and are responsible for attending lecture, leading 50-minute discussion sections, grading exams, holding office hours, attending weekly course planning meetings and grading other assignments. Laboratory TA appointments are 40% for lab / disc combo and are responsible leading a 50-minute discussion section to prepare students for lab, assisting in lab, grading lab reports and other assessments, attending weekly course planning meetings and holding office hours.
Physical Demands:
Biocore 382 TAs will be teaching some of their labs in the Biocore Prairie for part of September & October.
