Department Overview:

The Center for Educational Opportunity (CeO) provides services for students that are first generation, meet certain federal family income guidelines, and students with documented disabilities. CeO advisors and staff embrace a personal approach and provide support in every aspect of the student’s path to achievement and success.

Schedule:

To be arranged with your assigned supervisor. Would be in-person work that aligned with your supervisor's hours.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $15.00/ hour Maximum: $17.00/ hour

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled as a UW-Madison undergraduate student AND NOT already enrolled in CeO.

Employment will require UW-Madison to verify your identity and employment eligibility. The employee must physically present original, unexpired documents (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents) as evidence of identity and employment authorization.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Communication skills (written and verbal), research skills, social media & digital literacy. Event planning & coordination preferred. Basic graphic design skills. Organization and time management. Computer and tech skills.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The CeO grant and fundraising committee will work closely with the intern on fundraising projects aligned with our mission and values, which focus on supporting our scholars on campus through personal and direct grassroots efforts. This internship will allow the team to develop and achieve fundraising goals for:
- CeO SFS summer orientation programs
- Alternate Spring Break at Promega event
- Semesterly student support events
- Alumni outreach and engagement
