Department Overview:
Our research focuses on the regulation of vesicle trafficking mechanisms in plant cells. Our goal is to understand how cells control the flow of proteins and specialized metabolites between different cellular compartments. We are currently working on the following projects: Endosomal sorting of membrane proteins for degradation; Autophagic degradation and turnover of proteins in maize.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone to help with chores in a plant molecular biology lab.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
We are looking for detail-oriented, reliable, motivated student. Background in molecular biology is desirable but not required.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
A lab helper will perform general chores in the lab such handling of plasticware, preparation of growth media and other solutions, sorting of dirty and clean glassware, watering plants, cleaning pots, discarding soil and plants, etc.
Physical Demands:
Carry small pots and trays with soil for autoclaving or cleaning.
