Department Overview:

Sex Out Loud's mission is to promote healthy sexuality through sex-positive education and activism. We acknowledge that each individual's sexuality is uniquely shaped by all facets of identity and experience. We seek to empower students to engage with these issues by providing inclusive and accessible programs, events, and resources, as well as safe spaces for reflection and discussion.

Schedule:

1 weekly staff Meeting (1 hour), Weekly Office Hours (7 hours), Attendance to Sex Out Loud Events, and all positions are expected to complete their expectations in a timely fashion.

Enthusiasm pertaining to Sexual Health and/or Social Justice Advocacy

Position Summary/Job Duties:

1. The event coordinator is expected to work an average of 12-16 hours per week.
2. The event coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing four major events per year:
Condoms & Candy, HIV Awareness Week, National Condom Week, and Sexual Health Week.
3. The event coordinator is encouraged to create, improve, edit, and expand new and existing events.
4. The event coordinator is expected to collaborate with other student and community groups during
events.
5. The event coordinator is expected to keep the staff current about past, present, and future events.
6. The event coordinator is expected to attend a monthly coordinator meeting.
