8 - 20 hours per week during the academic year, option for more hours during the summer semester. 2 - 4 office shifts a week during business hours, additional open availability preferred for outreach events at differing hours.

Qualifications:

Required:
• University of Wisconsin-Madison student
• Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
• Desire to build digital content creation/management skills
• Ability to think creatively and critically to identify and solve problems

Preferred
• Capacity to stay in the role for a minimum of 1 - 2 years

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Have proficient writing skills and excellent grammar
• Have knowledge of and experience using a variety of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, & Twitter
• Enjoy humor and pop-culture references
• Demonstrate creative initiative and follow-through
• Possess superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Are self-motivated and can work independently
• Act as a brand ambassador and be able to represent the division
• Possess some understanding of WordPress and HTML preferred

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Plan, write, and share content across our website, social media, email, and blog
• Create written content that builds meaningful connections with UW-Madison students and inspires them to get involved with our offerings
• Manage Rec Well pages within each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, WordPress)
• Continuously improve the Rec Well social media strategy by developing campaigns, engaging with followers, and increasing brand awareness
• Follow Rec Well communication guide and brand standards
• Act as a brand ambassador for Rec Well at a variety of campus events
