Department Overview:

 The University of Wisconsin Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) is a research and development center with an international reputation for developing instrumentation for both terrestrial and space flight applications. SEEC's mission includes the support of faculty and academic staff research, development, fabrication and implementation of space flight experiments, as well as the development of new meteorological research tools for national and international use.

Qualifications:

 Undergraduate status.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Solid grasp of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A desire to explore and learn more about the weather and climate of Antarctica.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This role involves collecting and organizing data from various weather stations and ships across Antarctica into our data repository. The student will also have opportunities to explore other areas of interest, such as contributing to research case studies, working with instrumentation, enhancing our social media presence, and more.
