Department Overview:

Wisconsin Athletics is looking for highly motivated students who want to pursue a career in the sports and entertainment industry. The Creative Student will be tasked in helping cover and create content for our 23 varsity sports that Wisconsin Athletics offers. This position will allow students a chance to learn valuable skillsets that will directly translate to real world skills and experiences in the sports and entertainment industry.

Qualifications:

- Prior camera and editing experience
- Experience with Adobe software or similar (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, etc.)
- Prior experience working in sports preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Basic knowledge of various sports
- Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Ability to work evenings and weekends is a must

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Based on experience and interest, we will assign specific creative responsibilities to the student. Job duties will be focused but not limited to one of the following:
Photo:
- Photograph games, off the field activities, practices, and other events for assigned teams
- Cull and log photos using Photo Mechanic
- Edit photos using Lightroom
- Organize photos in our media drive
- Assist in creating weekly content plans, organizing and proposing engaging posts across all platforms
- Consistently maintain brand guidelines
Graphic Design:
- Create and update sport specific graphics, such as gameday graphics, scores graphics, lineup graphics, quote graphics, etc.
- Assist with keeping assets and project files organized in the network drive
- Assist in creating weekly content plans, organizing and proposing engaging posts across all platforms
- Consistently maintain brand guidelines
Video:

- Shoot games, off the field activities, practices, and other events for assigned teams
- Label and organize clips into network drive
- Edit game highlights, feature stories, short social pieces, in-venue spots, etc.
- Assist in creating weekly content plans, organizing and proposing engaging posts across all platforms
- Footage requests from ESPN, Fox Sports, Big Ten Network, etc.
- Organization of network drive
- Consistently maintain brand guidelines
