Department Overview:
WPR is a service of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Educational Communications Board with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Wisconsin Public Radio Association. Support from individuals, businesses, foundations and the government ensure commercial-free access to news, information, music and entertainment for all. Wisconsin Public Radio seeks a student to work Saturdays at Vilas Hall with our music staff. The role is primarily importing classical music and adding metadata to Music Master, with a secondary role of on-site tech support if issues arise. This position is responsible for providing live broadcast support to the Host with automation help, and importing classical music for broadcast. The ideal candidate seeks experience in the broadcast radio industry and possesses curiosity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly. The position reports to WPR’s Operations Manager.

Qualifications:
A current student.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Music Digitizing Work: Strong attention to details, familiarity with office productivity software, audio editing software, and computers.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
On Saturdays, or other assigned days, the successful applicant will work in the WPR News news studio, monitoring the live Saturday broadcast and importing music for our classical library.
