Department Overview:
HC White IT provides technical support for several academic units in Helen C. White Hall on Lake Mendota and at the University Club on Library Mall.

Schedule:
Schedule is flexible to accommodate student class and exam schedules. Work is typically scheduled during our normal business hours (9am- 5pm, Monday-Friday). Anticipate 8-12 hours per week during the academic year and more during the summer break (preference for applicants with summer availability)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Excellent interpersonal skills, desire to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Must be able to self-direct and prioritize tasks. Proficiency with Windows and solid working knowledge of Mac OS. Experience with applications including MS Office (including Outlook),browsers, as well as utilities, anti-virus and other security software. Previous computer support work experience, hardware repair skills, and TCP/IP networking skills, familiarity with best practice technology support and academic computing environments are all a plus.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide hardware and software support, troubleshooting, user education, and systems documentation for our multi-department computer network (approx. 70% Windows and 30% Mac OSX) and several technology classrooms.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
