Department Overview:
The mission of the University of Wisconsin Body Donor Program (UWBDP) is to advance the education of health science students (for example medical, physical therapy, physician assistant, nursing), residents-in-training, and practicing clinicians. The donors allow the University to provide advanced anatomy training to students entering these health professions. In addition to their anatomical study, the students grow in compassion and empathy, learning to treat their future patients with dignity and respect.

Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Ability to lift 50 pounds. - Ability to follow detailed instructions. Preferred knowledge/training (but not required): - Basic understanding of human anatomy - Previous lab or clinical experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Comfort in sensitive setting: prepared to work in a lab involving deceased donors and anatomical study. - Professionalism and maturity: able to be respectful of donors and responsible for their care while working in the lab. - Reliability: able to maintain schedule and assigned hours. - Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols: ability to follow instructions correctly will result in lab success and maintained lab and personal safety. - Effective communication skills: respectful communication with staff, faculty, and students.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Job responsibilities/duties: - Assist with preparation and setup of anatomical materials for teaching labs. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab spaces, workstations, and storage areas. - Clean equipment and surfaces according to safety protocols. - Follow proper procedures for handling human anatomical materials with care and respect. - Restock lab supplies and notify staff when inventory is low. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, confidentiality, and UW Body Program standards. - Perform daily administrative tasks, as assigned by program staff.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs - Periods of time standing and/or sitting
