Schedule:

The Social Media Assistant will have a dedicated desk in the Marketing and Health Communications suite at UHS. This individual is expected to have a regular, weekly in-person schedule ranging from 10-15 hours per week.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $14.00

Qualifications:

- Though not required, the ideal candidate will continue in the position for a minimum of two semesters.
- Undergraduate student majoring in Communication Arts, Graphic Design, Art, Public Health, or related.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- A working knowledge of graphic design principles and techniques.
- A working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop (optional working knowledge of procreate or Adobe Fresco).
- Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms and awareness of current trends.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple projects effectively.
- Interest in health and/or higher education communication.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Create social media content in collaboration with professional and student staff.
- Generate original graphics for use across digital platforms.
- Select, edit, and manipulate photos to align with brand standards.
- Schedule posts and monitor analytics across multiple social media platforms.
- Serve as a UHS brand ambassador by participating in outreach events/tabling events, appearing in videos, and engaging with various audiences through UHS social media accounts.
- Assist with additional communications-related tasks as needed.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 20 pounds.
