Department Overview:
The Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives provides culturally relevant and transformative arts programming to promote positive social dialogue and to give cultural art forms a legitimate academic forum.

Qualifications:
- Current UW Madison undergraduate student - Experience producing/hosting events (preferred) - Experience with running live sound, lighting, front of house, or guest services (preferred) -Must satisfy a criminal background check and successfully complete I-9 verification before beginning the position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- A willingness to learn new processes and systems, actively ask questions, and seek out solutions - Maintains reliable attendance - Ability to work well as a part of a team while making decisions independently - Willing and able to set up before and bread own after events (loading/unloading materials, setting up tables)
Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Attend biweekly production seminar with OMAI Technical Events Director - Attend local arts events to be assigned and discussed in seminar - Assist with OMAI events and observe the inner workings of arts event production - Assist in special event planning, logistics and execution - Complete other duties as assigned, related to event planning, logistics and execution. - Improvise when unexpected situations arise during events with guidance from OMAI staff
Physical Demands:
This position requires in person attendance and ability to help with planning, set up and break down of events. Accommodations can be made based on physical ability.
