Department Overview:
Sex Out Loud's mission is to promote healthy sexuality through sex-positive education and activism. We acknowledge that each individual's sexuality is uniquely shaped by all facets of identity and experience. We seek to empower all students by providing inclusive and accessible programs, events, and resources, and by creating safe space where students can freely discuss these issues.

Schedule:
1 weekly staff Meeting (2-3 hours), Weekly Office Hours (5-7 hours), Attendance to Sex Out Loud Events, and all positions are expected to complete their expectations in a timely fashion. Position offers some flexibility.

Currently enrolled as a UW-Madison Student
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Position Summary/Job Duties:
1. All returning facilitators will be able to work the hours described by the Financial Coordinator 2. Facilitators are expected to be able and willing to facilitate all Sex Out Loud Programs. 3. Facilitators are expected to be able and willing to facilitate with all fellow facilitators. 4. Facilitators are encouraged to facilitate, suggest, or help develop specialty programs. 5. Facilitators are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to a program to set up and discuss the upcoming program with their co-facilitator. 6. Facilitators are expected to stay 15 minutes after each program to answer questions and debrief with their co-facilitator. 7. Facilitators are expected to be effective and competent facilitators who effectively manage time during programs. 8. If you are not able to facilitate a program, it is YOUR responsibility to find a substitute facilitator and notify both the Program Coordinator and your fellow co-facilitator of the change. 9. If an unforeseen emergency or crisis emerges, facilitators are responsible for making every effort to speak to the Program Coordinator and your co-facilitator prior to the program. 10. Tardies and unexcused absences from programs, events, staff meetings, office hours, or other SOL commitments will be followed up with the Program Coordinator. 11. Facilitators are expected to update programs as needed.
