Department Overview:

The Department of Dermatology is a clinical department in the UW Health System and an academic department within the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. The department has 35 faculty members, 9 APPs and 8 research labs. Our main administrative office is located at 1 South Park, and we have 4 clinical locations across Madison. We are a high-volume clinical department with over 75,000 patient visits a year. We also have an active education program with 15 residents and 2 fellows. Our research facilities are located at the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research and the Medical Sciences Center. Our research focuses on cancer chemoprevention and treatment, molecular mechanisms of cancer development, molecular diagnosis of skin diseases, clinical trials testing for novel treatments of skin diseases, translational investigations of genetic correction of skin diseases, and more.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 5 Maximum: 10 (additional hours may be available during the summer)

Schedule:

All duties will be performed during regular business hours, 8:00am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
At lease one day per week will be performed onsite, Tuesday or Wednesday.
Flexible schedule around classes and other activities

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $16.00

Qualifications:

Pursuing degree in Business Administration
Experience working in an office/administration setting
Experience utilizing reporting tools and Microsoft Excel
Customer service experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Detail oriented
Strong organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to be a successful multi-tasker
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Processing reimbursements and other financial transactions
Approves and advises on a variety of financial transactions
Help coordinate and process purchase requisitions, procurement card transactions.
Helping organize and maintain financial records
Booking professional travel and answering travel-related questions

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
