Department Overview:
The Laboratory of Genetics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison comprises two departments: Genetics in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and Medical Genetics in the School of Medicine and Public Health. These two departments function as a single entity towards a unified research and academic mission.

Some lab skills prefer but not required. Works well with a team. Enrolled at UW-Madison.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Attention to detail even when performing repetitive tasks, ability to work independently.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Job duties include feeding fish, conducting water quality measures, and cleaning the fish facility. Once fully rained, work duties will be carried out independently, so reliability and attention to detail is crucial. This is not a research position.
Physical Demands:
The fish facility is climate-controlled for optimal fish health (warm and humid). Physically demanding tasks include standing and walking around the facility, cleaning (scrubbing tanks, mopping floors, etc.), and the occasional lifting of equipment (~15-30 lbs).
