Department Overview:
Located in the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (CDIS), Internet Scout Research Group (https://scout.wisc.edu) specializes in creating practical web-based information and software solutions for educators, librarians, and researchers. We are looking for a student (with a graduation date of May 2028 or later) to help us with a variety of tasks related to Scout's digital resource collections. In the cover letter, applicants should please discuss their professional or academic experiences with library or archival collections, data entry, database or information management, and/or any relevant technical skills. Position Summary/Job Duties:
Job duties for the Digital Collections Assistant may include: Data entry and record maintenance (primary task) Documentation revision and upkeep Research and fact checking Assisting with special projects, as needed
Physical Demands:
Sitting - Remaining in a seated position Near Visual Acuity - Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e. reading small print on a computer screen) Keyboarding - Entering text or data into a computer by means of a keyboard
