Department Overview:
The Wisconsin MBA & Master’s Programs serve graduate students pursuing MBA and specialized master’s degrees. The Career Management team provides career preparation and advising services for these students.

Schedule:
Flexible Monday–Friday 9AM-4PM schedule with occasional weekend work. The Student Assistant will support the Career Management team through the spring semester, summer, and potentially extend into the fall. They will work 10-15 hours, flexible around their class schedule, up to 20 hours in the summer, and return to 10-15 hours in the fall. During the summer of 2026, workers in this role should expect a hybrid work schedule with some required in-office, in-person work and some remote work.

Qualifications:
Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at UW-Madison in good standing Summer commitment required (20 hours per week) from mid-May through August Must be available to support Executive MBA residency the week of August 10-16th 2026, and MBA & Master’s Orientation the week of August 24th, 2026
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Responsible, personable, detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and to prioritize work assignments and recall directives Be a self-starter and possess good follow-up skills and attention to detail. Handle confidential information and material appropriately In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Support operations for the Career Management unit including: Event Planning (Workshops, Speaker & Networking Events, and Other): -Highly detailed work with team development sessions, including assessment tracking, managing and organizing reports, and sorting materials. -Establish project timeline and set achievable milestones -Handle all logistics including accommodations, parking, event services, and equipment needs. -Generate reports, graphs and Pivot in Excell using data from surveys Marketing Support: -Update Career Management website as needed - Manage electronic marketing needs such as calendar of events and TV monitors - Draft monthly newsletters - Design and create promotional materials - Edit recorded webinar series - Update ongoing alumni database - Potential social media projects Data Management: -Create surveys as needed and analyze results -Track student data, as needed Other Duties and Special Projects as required by supervisors and other staff personnel
