Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. LSC 440 is a 3-credit course that examines the principal ways that digital media have affected science communication. Key developments introduced by digital media are explored through coverage of key theories and empirical studies from the field of science communication, as well as through specific topical areas. Students complete a number of (group-based) writing assignments, as well as one individually written in-class essay final. There are also roughly weekly reading quizzes (that are self-grading). Job Duties: • Assist with in-class workshops for group projects. • Grade group-writing assignments (workshop modules, final reports) • Assist in grading of individual final (bluebook) essays Required Training: Graduate Assistants Equity Workshops (for new TAs). GAs who are international students may also be required to enroll in ESL 370: International Teaching Assistant Training. This position does not offer tuition remission
