Department Overview:
WiscAI is a fast-moving studio building AI-powered products across consumer applications and B2B solutions. We operate in an AI-first workflow environment, using modern tools to accelerate development, launches, and growth. This role supports the go-to-market efforts across multiple product launches — creating demo videos, managing social content, and running product launch campaigns. You will work closely with leadership to bring real AI products to real users, gaining hands-on experience that most students don't get until years into their career.

Schedule:
20+ hours per week. Flexible schedule with at least one standing weekly check-in. The ideal candidate has some flexibility in their availability, including occasional responsiveness outside of rigid time blocks when needed to keep projects moving and avoid delays.

Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior undergraduate student preferred. - GPA 3.0+ required. - Any major welcome — marketing, journalism, communications, business, sports management, or anything else if you've got the drive. - Has created something people actually engaged with — a social account, a campus org event, a blog, a video series, a side project. - Demonstrated comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI, CapCut, or similar).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Content Creation: Can make a compelling short-form video on a phone. Comfortable writing social copy that sounds human, not corporate. - Communication: Excellent written communication skills; able to craft clear, concise messaging across platforms. - Independence: Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism and follow-through. - Proactive Mindset: Doesn't wait for permission. Identifies what needs to happen and does it. - Learning Agility: Quick learner willing to pick up new tools, platforms, and workflows; open to feedback and rapid iteration. - Technology Comfort: Uses AI tools daily or weekly. Comfortable learning new platforms quickly. - Judgment: Knows when to move fast independently and when to check in. - Collaboration: Works well with technical and non-technical team members in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
As the Marketing Assistant, you will act as the go-to-market engine for WiscAI's product launches. Your job is to ensure that: - Products get in front of real users quickly - Content is created and posted consistently - Launch campaigns are planned and executed (Product Hunt, App Store, social) - Our AI community presence grows (60+ member innovation group in Madison) - Demo videos and social content showcase what our products actually do You will help translate finished AI products into compelling stories that attract users, customers, and attention — working directly with leadership to move from "built" to "launched."
