Department Overview:
The mission of Continuing Studies is to advocate for and engage lifelong learners through high-quality and innovative programs and services. We teach and direct hundreds of programs and courses that address the professional development and personal enrichment needs of in-person and online learners, from precollege programs for high school students to Summer Term courses for undergraduate students and professional classes and degrees for working adults.

Flexible hours, some daytime hours required to meet with team members virtually. No in-person work required but optional in-person opportunities available.

Qualifications:
-Demonstrated writing and digital communication experience (writing samples required) -Demonstrated social media experience (social post samples required) -Interest in research and interviewing
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
-Interviewing people for articles -Writing and editing -Storytelling in a compelling manner -Basic knowledge of social media channels -Basic research knowledge
Position Summary/Job Duties:
-Interview students, faculty, staff and others for articles -Report on and write news for blogs and university-wide channels -Write blog content for various sites using SEO best practices -Assist with social media strategy and posts across platforms (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and help drive engagement in social media campaigns -Perform research associated with continuing studies projects -Create and/or organize information in spreadsheets, Word documents or other applications
