Qualifications:
Enrolled in coursework seeking an Interior Architecture or related Bachelor's degree

- Highly motivated and interested in using and developing skills and knowledge to improve the physical campus environment - Strong communication, organization, and time management skills - Ability to work independently
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Interior Architecture Student Assistant will work closely with the interior design team within Campus Planning & Design on a wide range of project types that could include workplace, academic, research, hospitality, and athletic environments. Tasks will vary depending on active projects, and may include: assisting in the selection of furniture; creating test fits, space planning or feasibility studies using AutoCAD or Revit; accepting furniture deliveries and supervising furniture installations; estimating; maintaining finishes library and researching sustainable qualities of finishes and developing standards for recordkeeping. Tasks will also include participating in a variety of project meetings with a variety of campus personnel. These meetings include: user meetings, design reviews, construction meetings and site visits. An understanding of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) planning, procurement, fabrication and installation will be gained.
