Department Overview:

The Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) encopases many labs that focus on novel medical research using different models primarily primates. The Igor Slukvin lab specifically works in stem cell and regenerative medicine researching topics such as immunotherapies and disease modeling.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- A deep understanding of lab materials as well as a comfortability around lab settings.
- Well organized including record keeping
- Able to use an autoclave
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with scientists

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Organizing the Slukvin Lab stock room
- Restocking lab areas with various lab materials
- Record keeping of lab materials and communicating with the lab manager when materials get low
- Refilling bufferes
- Tidying/cleaning around the lab which includes taking out biohazard bins
- Using an autoclave to sterilize restocked refillable pipette and test tube boxes
- Refilling deionized water containers and autoclaving these containers that are used in cell incubators.

Physical Demands:

Able to lift heavy objects >10 lbs.
