Department Overview:
The CALL-ECL project is part of the Equity-Centered Principal Pipeline Initiative funded by The Wallace Foundation, and is studying how eight urban school districts across the US prepare equity-centered school leaders. The project documents how these districts train and support leaders in leading for equity, trace the growth of professional networks, and develop data tools to support the practices of equity-centered leaders in schools.

Qualifications:
- Current UW Madison Student - Interest in education research centered around equity - Working knowledge of STATA or R - Demonstrated background in data entry and cleaning - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to be proactive - Ability to multi-task, manage workload and work independently to meet deadlines and expectations - Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule, with some availability to work remote
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Detail-oriented - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to learn, ask questions, and seek information & resources to gain clarity and understanding - Ability to be proactive - Excellent problem-solving skills
Position Summary/Job Duties:
CALL-MEI (Mapping Equity Indicators) is a study of the CALL-ECL project working to develop a new set of equity indicators, evidence models, and data tools to measure the process and outcomes of equity-centered leadership. The CALL-ECL Research Assistant working with CALL-MEI will include the following tasks: 1. Support with the ECPI budget data, which includes working with budget reports to transform them into a database for analysis 2. Preliminary data analysis, which could include basic descriptive statistics and the preparation of tables and visualizations 3. Other duties as assigned
